Marcus Jordan Arrested on DUI and Cocaine Charges, Admits to Substance Abuse

Marcus Jordan, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested in Maitland, Florida, on February 4, 2025, after his Lamborghini SUV was found lodged on railroad tracks. Officers reported he appeared confused, smelled of alcohol, and acted belligerently. A search of his person allegedly produced cocaine. Jordan was charged with felony cocaine possession, misdemeanor DUI with property damage, and resisting an officer without violence. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The Arrest

Responding officers found Jordan’s vehicle with its tires partially buried in gravel on the tracks, with signs the car had been spun in place. A plastic bag containing a substance later confirmed as cocaine was allegedly found in his pocket. He was booked at the Maitland Police Department on all three charges.

Admission and Request for Treatment

In March 2025, Jordan filed court documents admitting he struggles with substance use and requesting entry into a pretrial substance abuse education and treatment intervention program. His attorneys stated: “While Mr. Jordan acknowledges the seriousness of the charges against him, he respectfully submits that he is an ideal candidate for the Pretrial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program due to his strong desire to live as a responsible, drug-free, productive member in the community.”

The court’s determination regarding his treatment program eligibility was pending at the time of reporting.

Personal Context

Jordan’s arrest came shortly after his public split from reality television personality Larsa Pippen, with whom he had been in a relationship for over a year. Representatives for both parties described the separation as focused on personal growth.
